Nowadays online marketing seems to be the main focus for getting your name and brand out to a target audience. Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, SnapChat, and a slew of other social media platforms are now available to help reach a non-local audience. With that being said, just think about all the marketing opportunities you have in your local community.
Now that the world is opening back up again we business owners can now start focusing on getting out there and showing our faces in our local communities again. I am fortunate to have access to a wide range of flea markets and pop up shops here in the Raleigh-Durham Area. I plan to attend my first flea market event in May. I am excited to place my products in front of potential customers for them to hold, touch, feel. There is truly nothing like the opportunity to let customers see and speak to the face of the company.
Have you taken the time to make flyers and post them in a local grocery store, library, or coffee shop? A lot of local business owners have no problem with helping other business owners get their names out there because they are aware of the daily struggle. I am literally typing these words and asking myself have I done this?
I easy would it be to take your children to the park and pull out a business card to give to other parents who are on a park stroll with their children. We as business owners have to remember that sometimes all it takes is opening your mouth to get a sale.
Basically, do not forget about old school marketing. Flea markets, flyers, a simple face-to-face conversation. All these things can go a long way and you might just connect with the right person. Happy Marketing!!!
